Swift was a fan of music from a young age, and quickly moved through roles in the children's theater to her first appearance before an audience of tens of thousands. Swift wrote original songs inspired by the country music of musicians such as Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) as well as Dixie Chicks. At the age of 13, Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania and moved into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time to wooing labels from the country near Nashville.
